Hi Friend,
I’m so excited to spend this time together with you. This is your official Recess Club guide so you can arrive feeling prepared, relaxed, and ready to unplug!! I know it’s a lot of information — but trust me, you’ll want to read through it all to be prepared. ;)

WHERE TO MEET
We will meet at the trailhead near the main parking lot by the single standing bathroom at 9:00am. Once you park, head toward the trail entrance and you’ll see us gathering there. I’ll be wearing a “Recess Club” baseball cap.
PARKING + ENTRY INFO (IMPORTANT)
This park requires a Michigan Recreation Passport for vehicle entry.
• If you already have one on your license plate, you’re all set
• If not, you can purchase one at the park entrance

PLAN TO ARRIVE
Please arrive 10–15 minutes early to allow time for parking, entry, restroom and a smooth start.
WHAT TO EXPECT
• 5 mile guided walk at a conversational pace
• A mid-way pause for nature bathing + breathwork meditation
• Time to connect, reset, and just be
• We’ll finish with a nourishing lunch together
This is not a workout.
No timers. No pressure.
This is Recess.
WEATHER PLAN ☁️ Hi of 66 degrees / Low of 34 degrees
It looks like we may have a chance of sprinkles or light rain. We are going rain or shine, so please come prepared with a rain jacket and appropriate layers.
If it’s still raining during lunch, I’ll have a tent set up so we can all huddle in together.
Here’s hoping for that perfect blue-grey sky with a little sunshine breaking through. Let’s manifest a beautiful day.

TRAIL DETAILS 🥾
This hike is considered easy and approachable, with mostly flat terrain and a few moderate inclines.
It is a natural dirt trail, so please be prepared for uneven ground and the possibility of dirt or mud depending on conditions. Wear shoes you don’t mind getting a little messy.
WHAT TO BRING
• Comfortable walking shoes & rain jacket
• Water
• Light blanket or jacket to sit on for meditation
• Small backpack or daypack
• An open mind (required 😉)

WAIVER + SAFETY
Please take a moment to read and submit the waiver below prior to arrival (under the lunch order).
For your safety, I’ve submitted an emergency plan to the DNR and we have a permit to hike as a group. I am CPR certified and will have a first aid kit on hand.
We also ask that you arrive feeling in good health and ready for the walk.

This experience will be documented by a professional photographer.
If you feel uncomfortable being photographed, please let us know ahead of time and we will absolutely make sure you are not included in any photos.

This might feel like a small thing…
